Open Discussion

Mana-Sota Family Funament Costs

l        No specific increase in the cost for 2008

Crystal River Family Funament Costs

l        Our costs at the Plantation Inn for the Crystal River Funament have increased and there are other changes to our past functions at this Funament

Ø         We can no longer have a separate meeting room for registration or pizza party like we have had in past Funaments, unless we book 25 rooms or more.

Ø         We can no longer bring in pizza and refreshments unless we pay extra to the Plantation Inn.  They want us to use their food and beverage department.

Ø         We are going to have the Registration, Pizza Party with Refreshments, Captains Meeting and Bingo all in the Palm Room on Friday night.  There is no change to the Raft off and Awards / BBQ on Saturday.

l        We need to consider increasing the cost of the Crystal River Family Funament from $100 per family of four to $120 per family of four, to help us cover our costs for this Funament in 2008.

l        Discussion, Motion and Vote

l        Also, the 2008 Board of Directors needs to study the costs, logistics and functions for the 2009 / 29th Annual Crystal River Family Funament at the Plantation Inn in Crystal River, FL and to also study the possibility to move the Funament location to the Encore Crystal River RV Resort, in Crystal River, FL or to the Homosassa Riverside Resort in Homosassa, FL or another location in the geographic area.  The Encore Crystal River RV Resort and the Homosassa Riverside Resort will have lower costs for the rooms and meeting areas, but could be limit certain club member’s vessels for dockage and passage (LOA) and or effect the Raft-Off location and certain things we enjoy each year, i.e. Three Sisters Springs.
