2006 was a good year and we are looking forward to an even better year in 2007. President Smith outlined the 2006 Events and presented the 2007 Events to members as follows:

April 21 & 22, 2007 @ the Sarasota Outboard Club, Sarasota, FL
Saturday 4/21 Fish all day, 4:00 pm Registration, 5:00 pm Captains Meeting, 6:30 pm Pot Luck Dinner (Pig) (We/ / You can cook your catch)
Sunday 4/22 Fish till 12:00 noon, 1:00 pm Funament Lunch, 1:30 pm Awards, 2:00 pm Raffle

th Annual Crystal River Family Funament
July 19, 20 and 21, 2007 @ Plantation Inn and Resort in Crystal River, FL
Hotel Rooms @ $125.00 night, / plus tax
Encore RV/ / Camping Park The park will accommodate tents and has a boat ramp. (will accommodate tents, ramp and slips available)
Presidential Suite or some other meeting area.
We will still dododue the same activities as we have done in the past, i.e. Pizza Party, Bingo, and Raft-Off Lunch with Awards on the river.


2007 Other Events & Activities
Along with the two Funaments this year in April and July, we are planning a trip for the club members only to:

(1) (1) Bass Pro Shops in Ft. Myers, FL.  Bass Pro will give us an extra 10% off everything we buy during that trip and a possible discount to eat at the Islamorada Fish Company.  
(2) We will also have another Rendevouzes planned this year, i.e. Boca Grade. (3) Curt Jarson, VP of Sales for Make Marine, would like assistance from our club to plan a Mako Marine trip to Bimini. (4) If you want to lobster in the FL Keys during the lobster weekend in July, I can get our members in touch with Lee Arnold in Naples, FL for rooms at the Ocean Reef Resort in Key Largo, FL.

BOARD
BOD Goals in 2007
Improve both Funaments in 2007 - 11th Annual Manasota Family Funament and the 27th Annual Crystal River Family Funament.
Plan at least one boat trip and one road trip (no boat) for the club members only in 2007.
Develop a budget to help the present BoardBoardBOD and future BoardBoardBOD to manage the Mana-Sota Mako Owners Club for the next ten years.
Increase our sponsors and supporters for the club, either corporate or personal, either with product or cash, to help us defray the costs and increase the attendance to our two yearly Funaments.
Focus on increasing the family membership in our the club. We presently have 32 family members. President Smith is, I am asking all members to bring into the Mana-Sota Mako Owners Club at least one new member family. At the end of 2007, we would like the club to have 50 to 60 member families.

In order to ask members to help with finding more sponsors and cash donations to help support the Mana-Sota Mako Owners Club in 2007, President Bryan Smith and Lori Smith will give money to the club to cover the cost of the Funament sticker in 2007. The gesture was followed by several other members also willing to donate money to help the club,

Subject to our By-Laws, Article V Board of Directors, Section C, Election & Term of Officers, are two years. President Smith read readRead from the By-Laws to the members..
